• School, team, or organization affiliation (for entries tied to a fundraising campaign)
• Donation or payment information (processed by our third-party payment processor — see Section 4)
• Entries submitted through our free Alternative Method of Entry (AMOE)
• Any information you submit through customer support, surveys, or promotional forms

Information collected automatically:

• IP address, device and browser type, and general location (city/state level)
• Pages visited, referring URLs, and time spent on the Site
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 5)

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Promotions on this Site require entrants to be 18 years of age or older, consistent with our Official Rules.

We use the information we collect to:

• Administer Promotions, verify eligibility, select and notify winners, and fulfill prizes
• Process donations and issue tax receipts where applicable
• Communicate with you about a Promotion, your entry, or your account
• Send emails you have opted into (see Section 6)
• Comply with legal, tax, and state registration/reporting obligations (including winner list and IRS reporting requirements)
• Improve the Site and understand how it is used
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or duplicate/ineligible entries

We may collect a mobile phone number when it is needed to administer a Promotion, verify an entry, contact a potential winner, prevent fraud, or meet legal requirements. HOP GiveAway does not operate an SMS marketing or campaign-update program.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: payment processors, email delivery platforms, hosting providers, and fulfillment partners (e.g., travel prize vendors), who are contractually restricted to using your information only to provide services to us
• Legal and compliance: where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, including state sweepstakes registration, bonding, and winner-list disclosure obligations in states that require them
• Promotion administration: with prize suppliers or fulfillment partners solely as needed to deliver a prize you've won
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections
• With your consent: for any other purpose you've specifically agreed to

We do not share your mobile phone number with third parties for their independent marketing purposes, as described in Section 3.

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember preferences, and understand usage through analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics). You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may limit some Site functionality. We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

• Email: Use the unsubscribe link in any promotional email.
• California residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect (categories include identifiers such as name, email, and phone; commercial information such as donation history; and internet activity such as Site usage), request deletion or correction of it, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
• Other state privacy rights: If you are a resident of a state with its own comprehensive privacy law (e.g., Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or others as they take effect), you may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses.
• How to exercise these rights: Contact us at support@hopgiveaway.io. We will verify your identity before fulfilling requests and will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
• State residency eligibility: Sweepstakes are open to eligible U.S. and District of Columbia residents except Washington. Washington residents cannot enter or win by purchase or mail-in AMOE.

We retain entrant and winner records for at least four years following a Promotion's conclusion, consistent with state sweepstakes recordkeeping requirements, and longer where needed for tax reporting or legal compliance. We retain other personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Site and its Promotions are not directed to children under 13, and entrants must be 18 or older. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete it. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided information to us should contact us at support@hopgiveaway.io.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page; where required by law, we will provide additional notice.
